"The Best of Both Worlds"
Elbert County
offers a
quiet country lifestyle
only minutes from Castle Rock, Parker and Aurora
Situated
east of Denver and Colorado Springs, Elbert County encompasses 1,854 sq miles
of scenic rolling hills and the north portion of the Black Forest. The latest U.S. Census estimates
the population at approximately 22,488 and Elbert County is one of the fastest
growing counties in the state.
The eastern part of the county is
largely rural, while
the western side is becoming more urbanized. Those who reside in the
western
half of Elbert County enjoy the easy, quiet
county lifestyle. At the same time they have but a short drive to the
metro
area for work or play; the best of both worlds.
The Town of Elizabeth resides in western Elbert County and offers a supermarket as
well as many other stores, shops and restaurants.
The towns of Elizabeth, Kiowa and Simla
are incorporated;
the smaller towns of Agate, Elbert, and Matheson remain unincorporated.
